Chile & Argentina Highlights Day 1 Santiago Santiago. You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. Day 2 Santiago Santiago boasts one of the most amazing backdrops of any capital city. Spanish colonial buildings stand alongside skyscrapers reflecting the city’s contrasting mix of historic and modern . Our morning tour shows you the major sights of the city including San Cristobal Park, Government Palace and the modern residential districts of Las Condes and Providencia. Afternoon at leisure. Day 3 Santiago-Puerto Varas You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Puerto Montt . On arrival commence a tour of the port of Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas en route to your hotel Day 4 Puerto Varas – Bariloche We will depart taking the Lakes Crossing service to Peulla. We will drive along the edge of Lake Llanquihue, near the Calbuco volcano, and then enter the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, from where we will be able to see the majesty of the Osorno volcano, the waterfalls of Petrohué river and Lake Todos los Santos. We will sail the beautiful emerald-coloured waters of this lake where you will be able to appreciate the shore bordered by native forests, mountains, volcanoes, hills and waterfalls. Arrival to Peulla. Depart to cross the Vicente Pérez Rosales border point and then by bus up to Lake Frías from where we will sail to Puerto Blest. After a short bus ride, we will continue sailing, crossing Lake Nahuel Huapi until we reach Puerto Pañuelo. We will then continue on to Bariloche by bus and transfer to your hotel Day 5 Bariloche This morning's tour takes you on a 60 km excursion that starts in town, follows the Nahuel Huapi lake, to the Campanario mountain and stops here to look at the lakes and mountains around it. Going along the side of El Trebol lagoon, you reach the San Pedro and Llao Llao peninsulas, location of the famous hotel and San Eduardo chapel, two wonderful buildings . Then continue to Angostura bridge to cross Angostura River. This river connects Nahuel Huapi and Moreno Lakes to get to a wonderful panoramic point that offers an excellent view of Moreno Lake and Llao Llao Peninsula. The tour continues bordering El Trebol Lagoon to reach Bustillo Ave and return to Bariloche. Afternoon at leisure. Day 6 Bariloche-Buenos Aires You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires , you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Day 7 Buenos Aires A three and a half hour sightseeing tour visiting the most outstanding sites. Departing from the Hotel to get to 9 de Julio Ave the widest in the world, past the famous Colon Opera house, the Obelisk commemorating the first founding of the city in 1536 to get to Plaza de Mayo (May Square) and the buildings surrounding it: Government House, Metropolitan Cathedral with the Mausoleum of General San Martin, Argentina’s greatest national hero and the Cabildo, the colonial town hall built in 1751. Then on to La Boca, the typical Italian district, where the first italian immigrants settled and ‘Caminito’ street. The tour continues to Buenos Aires port area, past San Martín Square towards Palermo Chico residential district and Palermo Park with its jacaranda and palo borracho trees which flower in the spring and late summer. The ride continues to Recoleta, an elegant district, to visit Recoleta Cemetery where the famous are laid to rest (including Eva Peron). Return to the hotel along the stylish Alvear Ave. Afternoon at leisure. Day 8 Buenos Aires Day at your leisure Day 9 Buenos Aires You will be transferred to the airport |
